Our Philosophy
Most of us see the world through a lens we rarely question.
Our attention is drawn towards certain stories, places, and perspectives, while countless others quietly exist beyond our view. Like a camera focusing on a single subject, the world around it begins to blur.
In photography, that blur is known as bokeh.
Traditionally, it exists to support the subject. To guide the eye towards what has already been chosen as important. But we find ourselves looking elsewhere.
Towards everything that sits beyond the point of focus.
The details pushed into the background. The stories existing just outside the frame. The places, people, and ideas that remain visible, yet rarely become the subject of attention.
Over time, it becomes easy to mistake visibility for importance. To assume that what receives the most attention must also carry the most meaning.
But while our attention gathers in one place, countless other stories quietly exist beyond it.
